Gadar 2 The Katha Continues
Gadar 2, also known as Rebellion 2 or The Katha Continues, is a 2023 Indian Hindi-language period action drama film that was written by Shaktimaan Talwar and directed by Anil Sharma. Gadar: Ek Prem Katha 2 is a follow-up to the 2001 movie Gadar: Ek Prem Katha and it stars Sunny Deol, Ameesha Patel, and Utkarsh Sharma in their original roles. In the movie, Tara Singh travels back to Pakistan to free his son, who was captured during the 1971 Indo-Pakistani War.
On August 11, 2023, Gadar 2 was released in theaters. The movie, which has made over 561.30 crore (US$70 million) globally, is now the second-highest-grossing Hindi and Indian movie of the year. It is one of the most successful Hindi movies ever.
PLOT.
Tara Singh vanishes during a border clash in 1971, against the backdrop of the "Crush India" campaign, and is thought to be detained in Pakistan. Charanjeet "Jeete" Singh, Tara's son, learns of this and rushes to save the man, only to be captured and tortured by Pakistani soldiers on the orders of Major General Hamid Iqbal. Hamid wishes to get revenge on Tara for the deaths of several of Iqbal's followers during his 1954 escape from Pakistan with his wife, Sakeena, and Jeete.[a] Tara returns to Punjab after the battle and learns through Sakeena that Jeete is in Pakistan. The rest of the narrative depends on whether Tara can save Jeete from Iqbal and his henchmen in Pakistan.
